Registration for the 2026-2027 season opens on October 1, 2026. This year’s registration fee is $150.00. This early bird registration fee will be valid until 12/01/2026. On that day, the fee will increase to $160.00. The link to the registration tab on the website is below. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The California Interscholastic Foundation (CIF) is now requiring us to register with the CIF State Office, as well as with OCBOA. However, they have connected it to our ArbiterSports. This is a REQUIREMENT and NO games can be assigned to an individual until this is 100% complete. NO EXCEPTIONS. Registration with CIF includes, 1. Background Check, 2. CIF Certification Testing on NFHS Rules, and 3. Insurance (Note, there is no requirement for you to obtain NASO or NFHS insurance if you do not desire to have it).
Please follow the instructions below:
- Log into your ArbiterSports account. If you are new and do not have an ArbiterSports account, once you register with OCBOA at https://ocboa.com/registration/, you will receive an e-mail welcoming you to ArbiterSports within 24-48 hours. Once you create an ArbiterSports account, log in and then continue with Step 2.
- Go to the ELIGIBILITY tab (If you have previously registered with CIF in Arbiter skip step #2).
- If you do not see anything, use this link to have CIF Central Hub added to your ArbiterSports, https://www1.arbitersports.com/front/111820/site. This will take you to a CIF page within Arbiter with “News & Announcements” and “2026-2027 CIF Officials Registration Program” and a picture of Brian Seymour.
- Click on the REGISTRATION tab (Top ribbon bar) follow the prompts,
- Enroll in the sports you work at any level as this will prepare what tests will be assigned to you, (Do not sign up for every sport as you will get added to the local Arbiter account for that association),
- After completing the Registration, follow the prompts and make your payment to CIF. (Make sure you select as your primary association 102586 Orange County Baseball Officials Association when prompted). The total due to CIF will be $39.00,
- In the near future, you will be required to take the CIF certification test.
Please note this is a hard requirement. All officials are required to register with CIF, if you do not do this, you will not be assigned games. NO EXCEPTIONS. All steps must be completed. Once done you will see a badge or crest showing that you have completed the required steps and the assignors and I will be notified.
Once your CIF registration is completed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that looks like this:
